Who doesn't love homemade bread? I love it and love to make it and I'm grateful to Dorie and the French Friday cooks for getting me baking again. I used to bake bread once a week but fell out of the routine last summer and never got back into it.
Here in Oklahoma its been a gorgeous week...lots of sun and not too much wind...temps in the 60s. It was gorgeous sitting on the patio with fresh from the oven brioche, orange marmalade and a cup of coffee. I could get used to it!

Mid/high sixties weather is perfection. These brioche rolls are just the icing on the cake!
ReplyDeleteI used to make bread at least once a week. Like you, I found that habit was easier to get out of than to get in to. But I'm going to try again this year.

ReplyDeleteLola, I so agree with you...there's something therapeutic about baking bread. I was looking forward to this recipe. We've been having weather in the 20's and 30's so I really envy you sitting on the patio with a cup of coffee and your brioche. Your brioches look gorgeous! Have a great weekend!

It has actually been a long time since I did any season bread related activities (thank you, Dr. Atkins....) and expected these little numbers to be pretty complicated. They were not and their flavor was even better than I had imagined. I ate way too many and enjoyed every bite.
ReplyDeleteWe were 85 last week when this recipe was made - too hot for January, I'd love your 65 degrees. Wasn't this a great recipe to get back into bread making with! I'm especially thinking TWD is good motivation since the first assignment is bread...Loved your post!
