My sister in law, Kathy, has had me cook two French Friday dishes at her house. Weird that they're both cheese dishes! The previous one was a cheese soufflé. It was not a hit! This time it was cheesy Creme brûlée and it was more popular but still they would have preferred a standard Creme brûlée.....they missed the sugar topping:)
That being said, Gary and I loved it. I think next time I will try making it in a chafing dish and serve it with a hearty, crusty bread.

Lovely job:) Your Cheesy Creme Brulee looks delicious. I am glad you and Gary enjoyed it. We loved it at my house. We are cheese junkies.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Looks like a nice little dish. This was such a hit with me - I love all that cheese!
ReplyDeletePerfect with a glass of wine. I think this was pretty much of a hit with everyone. Good job.
ReplyDeletelooks good
ReplyDeleteI have never seen or heard of a cheesy creme brûlée! Sounds interesting.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this one certainly tasted good (who doesn't like cheese?), but I can't imagne serving this up to guests - they would just wonder why.
ReplyDeleteCertainly looks like your Cheesy Crème Brûlée turned out to be delicious - it looks very creamy and has a lovely color! I really like the colorful serving plates - very nice presentation!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
Yes - a glass of wine would have been a hit with this! Glad to see you enjoyed
ReplyDeleteI am not sure why, but I did sprinkle sugar on top of mine before I broiled it. I am not sure if it was in the directions or I just made it up. Surprisingly, the little bit of sweet was really good.
Guyla, I enjoyed this one, but would have preferred the traditional creme brulee….with the crackling sugar on top…yum!! Yours looks delicious…nice photos!! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that you could share this one with your family, even if they didn't like it as much as you did. Hope you had a nice visit with them.
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely. I think the solution to the sugar disappointment is to serve the traditional version for dessert! :)
ReplyDeleteYup, when Bill hears creme brulee, he doesn't want it to be savory! Yours looks yummy, though :)
